With the cacophony of tiers and tears, daily infection reporting and relentless negative news, it’s easy to forget that behind the headlines there has been much “business as usual” for students – albeit in very unusual conditions.
They have attended lectures – face to face or online – and they have needed support. And to provide this support, passionate staff have come through under extraordinary circumstances.
We wanted to celebrate that and give you something that shows appreciation for all the hard work you’ve put in throughout 2020.
Our mission at Blackbullion is to make the world money smarter and we only succeed because you make this your mission too. So here’s to you, the year it’s been, the year to come and to better financial wellbeing leading to a better world for all… one student at a time.
The survey
We asked students who receive our newsletter two simple questions:
- Q1. “Have you engaged with your university’s support staff (non-teaching staff) this term?”
- Q2. “How would you describe the interaction with staff and the support you received?”
The findings
We were delighted to find that the overwhelming majority of responses from students were positive, showing great appreciation for the help received from their university’s support staff this term.
That said, a small but significant cohort did feel the interaction could be improved, with an oft repeated issue around communication.
But don’t just take our word for it… check out the comments for yourself! Read the report.
They were friendly, reassuring and made me feel like I could contact them anytime, and about anything.
We hope you enjoy the report. Please let us know if you have comments or questions.
